Design a cutting board for family, friends, and coworkers.
We make it easy to design a cutting board that they’ll love! If you have something in mind, great! If not, we’ll offer ideas and options to choose from. Our boards are sealed after engraving so they are ready to be used immediately. For a ready-to-give gift, be sure to add a gift box to your order! We will wrap the sealed board in tissue paper, and add our product care card before putting it in the gift box. Our gift boxes are high quality so they can be given as is, or you can choose to wrap them in paper.

Our cutting boards are 100% Canadian-made, crafted from a mix of maple and cherry hardwood. Using both species of wood gives our boards their stunning appearance. Every board is unique – with differences in colour and grain pattern in every piece. Add a personalized engraving and you have an easy, unique gift for any occasion.
How to care for your cutting boards:
We include a product care card with all orders, so whomever you are buying for will know exactly what to do. All natural wood products require regular conditioning and sealing. You have the option to add a container of our board balm above. You can also purchase similar products from kitchen supply stores in your area.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- Re-seal with a natural, food-safe finish after cleaning.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Not dishwasher safe.
Design a cutting board using inspiration photos:
Inspiration photos can help us bring your vision to life. The more information you give us the better. Do you like script font or block font? Or embellishments like scrolls or flourishes? Do you have no idea what I’m talking about? Don’t worry. Our designer will send you some ideas and we can tweak the design until you are happy with it. It is important to note that designs, quotes, or lyrics that are protected by copyright law cannot be engraved without the written consent of the owner.
Handwriting tips:
Make it more meaningful by adding a handwritten signature or saying. To design a cutting board with handwriting, just follow these steps:
- Use black ink on plain white paper.
- Take a photo (smartphones work well) from above, with good lighting, and no shadows across the paper. If you have multiple signatures, usually one photo is fine. If needed, you can send multiple pictures.
- Upload the JPG file. Use the largest file size possible. Alternatively, you can email us the photographs.
- We will email you a design file to approve, or if we require new or different pictures. Please check your bulk mail folders if you do not hear from us within 4 business days.
Tips for prints (handprints, footprints, paw prints):
Although we can engrave prints that are done with paint, we do not recommend it. Paint handprints do not have the detail that makes this gift so unique. Prints taken with ink are really easy to do, and you can buy water-soluble inks at your local craft store that should clean up well. If you are uncertain, test the ink on yourself first!
- Use black ink on plain white paper.
- If you have more than one child, use a left hand/foot for one and the right hand/foot for the other. This is optional but adds symmetry to the final effect.
- Write the name of each child beside their print. Specify if you would like the name included in the design in the “Engraving Details” section above.
- Take a photo (smartphones work well) from above, with good lighting, and no shadows across the prints. One photo of both prints is fine, but you can photograph each print individually if you prefer.
- Upload the JPG file. Use the largest file size possible. Alternatively, you can email us the photographs.

More about our Turnaround Times
Our standard (free) turnaround time is 10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday not including statutory holidays. As always, we will strive to complete orders as soon as possible. When you check the “when do you need this” box, you are ensuring your order will be engraved and ready to pick up or ship by that date. Please note that shipping times are not included so please plan accordingly. For the fastest turnaround times chose “Milton Pick Up” on checkout. We will contact you immediately if we are unable to meet your timelines.
Standard turnaround times may increase depending on the season. Typically this happens in November, December, July & August. During these times, rush orders may not be available. For the most up-to-date information and advanced warnings when this may occur, please sign up for our email list.
