A custom engraved cutting board is an easy way to give a beautiful, functional, and meaningful gift. Our cutting boards are sealed after engraving so they are ready to be used immediately. For a ready-to-give gift, add a gift box and wood conditioner to your order. We will wrap the sealed board in tissue paper, and add our product care card before putting it in the gift box. Our gift boxes are high quality so they can be given as is, or you can choose to wrap them.
Comparing a cutting board and a Live Edge Charcuterie Board.
Our custom engraved cutting board is 100% Canadian-made, crafted from a mix of maple hardwoods. Every board is unique – with colour and grain pattern differences in every piece. Cutting boards are used to cut and prepare food, have edges that are sanded smooth, and are functional on both sides.
By comparison, live edge charcuterie boards are made from one species of wood with the edges left in their natural state. They can have bark attached, or not, but have a much more rustic look than the cutting boards. Used for serving food at parties, live edge charcuterie boards sit raised above the table on felted feet. Read this blog to learn more about the meaning of “live edge.”
How to care for your custom cutting board:
We include a product care card with all orders, so whomever you are buying for will know exactly what to do. All natural wood products require regular conditioning with a food-safe finish. Add a container of board balm to complete your gift. Alternatively, you can purchase similar conditioning products from specialty kitchen supply stores in your area.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- Re-seal with a natural, food-safe finish after cleaning.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Not dishwasher safe.

Our standard (free) turnaround time is 10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday not including statutory holidays. As always, we will strive to complete orders as soon as possible. When you check the “when do you need this” box, you are ensuring your order will be engraved and ready to pick up or ship by that date. Please note that shipping times are not included so please plan accordingly. For the fastest turnaround times choose “Milton Pick Up” on checkout. We will contact you immediately if we are unable to meet your timelines.
Standard turnaround times may increase depending on the season. Typically this happens in November, December, July & August. During these times, rush orders may not be available. Please sign up for our email list for the most up-to-date information and advanced warnings when this occurs
Our studio is located in Milton, Ontario but we serve all of Canada. Contactless local pickup is available for clients in the surrounding regions of Oakville, Burlington, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto, and beyond. Shipping is available nationwide.
