The blue arrows in the photos attempt to show you the degree of imperfection you can expect. Each board is unique and the imperfections you see will vary depending on the board.

Our custom-designed Canadian cutting boards are an easy way to give meaningful gifts. Each board is sealed after engraving and ready to use immediately. Add a gift box and wood conditioner to your order for a complete gift. We wrap the sealed board in tissue paper and add our product care card before putting it in a high-quality gift box.
Comparing Cutting Boards and Live Edge Charcuterie Boards
Our cutting boards are 100% Canadian-made, crafted from a mix of maple hardwood. Every board is unique – with colour and grain pattern differences in every piece. Cutting boards are meant to be used to cut and prepare food. The edges have been sanded smooth and they sit flat on the table. Both sides are functional. See our cutting board designs here.
By comparison, charcuterie boards are live-edge with the bark removed. They are made from one wood species, typically walnut, cherry, maple, or butternut, and are used for serving food at parties. How to care for your Canadian cutting boards
We include a product care card with all orders so whomever you are buying for will know exactly what to do. All natural wood products require regular conditioning. Add a container of Board Balm to complete your gift. Alternatively, you can purchase similar conditioning products from specialty kitchen supply stores in your area.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- Re-seal with Board Balm after cleaning.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Not dishwasher safe.

Our standard (free) turnaround time is 10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday not including statutory holidays. We will always strive to complete orders as soon as possible. Your order will be ready to ship by the date checked in the “when do you need this” section. Please note that shipping times are not included so please plan accordingly. You will have the option to choose shipping transit times during checkout.
Standard turnaround times may increase depending on the season. Typically this happens in November, December, July & August. During these times, rush orders may not be available. Please sign up for our email list for the most up-to-date information and advanced warnings when this occurs.
