Our custom wood cutting boards are an easy way to give personalized gifts for friends. After engraving, we seal each board with a food-safe wood conditioner, so it is ready to use immediately. Add a gift box and wood conditioner to your order for a complete gift. We wrap the sealed board in tissue paper and add our product care card before putting it in a high-quality gift box.
This design is recommended for clients wanting a unique and personalized gift for weddings, Christmas and other holidays, or housewarmings.
Comparing Cutting Boards and Live Edge Charcuterie Boards
100% Canadian-made, made from a mix of maple hardwood, gives our boards their stunning appearance. Every board is unique – with colour and grain pattern differences in every piece. Cutting boards are meant to be used to cut and prepare food. The edges have been sanded smooth and they sit flat on the table. Both sides are functional.
By comparison, live edge charcuterie boards are made from one species of wood with the edges left in their natural state. They can have bark attached, or not, but have a much more rustic look than the cutting boards. How to care for your custom wood cutting board
We include a product care card with all orders so whomever you are buying for will know exactly what to do. All natural wood products require regular conditioning with a food-safe finish. Add a container of board balm to complete your gift. Alternatively, you can also purchase similar conditioning products from specialty kitchen supply stores in your area.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- Re-seal with a natural, food-safe finish after cleaning.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Not dishwasher safe.
More about our Turnaround Times
Our standard (free) turnaround time is 10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday not including statutory holidays. As always, we will strive to complete orders as soon as possible. When you check the “when do you need this” box, you are ensuring your order will be engraved and ready to pick up or ship by that date. Please note that shipping times are not included so please plan accordingly. For the fastest turnaround times choose “Milton Pick Up” at checkout. We will contact you immediately if we are unable to meet your timelines.
Standard turnaround times may increase depending on the season. Typically this happens in November, December, July & August. During these times, rush orders may not be available. Please sign up for our email list for the most up-to-date information and advanced warnings when this occurs.
Our studio is located in Milton, Ontario but we serve all of Canada. Contactless local pickup is available for clients in the surrounding regions of Oakville, Burlington, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto, and beyond. Shipping is available nationwide.
